"Transforming the arts through interdisciplinary innovation"

As a dedicated Creative Artist, I am committed to establishing the arts as a significant industry within society, aspiring for it to be held in the same regard as the sciences. Prior to pursuing my bachelor's degree at the university, people staunchly advised against studying the arts, suggesting that a degree in that field was unnecessary. Encountering such dismissive remarks about the arts during my artistic journey has fuelled my ambition to achieve the highest academic accolades, support creative artists, empower the creative industry and elevate the arts as a crucial sector for societal advancement.

As an outstanding Creative Producer and Multidisciplinary Artist, excelling in literary arts, music, film, theatre, and visual arts, with a rich portfolio that includes projects, shows and films, my works have captivated audiences across various platforms. I am currently working on exciting upcoming projects that promise to push creative boundaries and engage diverse communities.

Through PhD, my objective is to utilise multidisciplinary skills for conducting research and creating a significant project that combines research and creative practices. I aim to focus on implementing interdisciplinary creative production and research to advance the fields of creative and scientific arts.

I aspire to leave a legacy as a Leader in Media, Arts, Education and Innovation through Expertise Level as a Creative Arts Professor and a Creative Arts Professional with a focus on Creativity, Innovation, Business and Leadership. I hope to encourage artists to pursue education and dedicate themselves to excellence, thereby dispelling the stereotype that popular/successful artists are often seen as lacking in education, discipline, and professionalism.

RESEARCH

I conduct in-depth research under Onatomi - The Mulbridge Company, focusing on the intersection of Arts and Sciences to foster progress and innovation in the Creative Arts through publications and various media platforms.
Additionally, I have thoroughly examined scripts from acclaimed films for Kirlian, analyzing essential components like characters, genre, plot, narrative, and aesthetics. This detailed evaluation sought to determine the structural soundness of the stories and the core essence of the projects and scripts.

MUSIC

Over the years, I have created a new genre in the Nigerian music industry by pioneering Alternative Neo-Soul and Cinematic Soul and being the face of the genres from Africa to the world. I have successfully released several projects under the pseudonym "Cat Mayel", including "I Don’t Care" (2013), "Exhale" EP (2015), "Love You" and "Free" (2020) as Songwriter, Arranger, Performer and Music Producer, and collaborated with others on various projects.

"Archive 0718" LP (2024), featuring Michal Sinka (Switzerland), Andy Whitmore (UK), Ben Medcalf (Spain), Echo (Nigeria) and more, will be released soon.

UPCOMING PROJECTS/PROJECTS IN DEVELOPMENT

An immersive experience based on the mythology of Sango (the god of thunder) is presently underway in partnership with Titanium Creations for Nigeria and Ireland.

Also, I am currently developing a musical theatre production as a writer and producer, set to take place at the National Theatre in Lagos, Nigeria.

Several books are in development, including a collection of short stories under the pseudonym 'Mamuli Mak'.
Literary works include "Words" which features poetry and creative writing exploring life's essence, "TETHER - the book" the limited series adaptation, and "MILES," a gripping short story about a boy left for dead. "Miles" is also being adapted into a short film in the UK.
