REMII

Remii is an Afro-soul singer-songwriter whose sound fuses Nigerian musical sensibility with Western soul. Raised in the church, he developed his voice and songwriting from a young age, using music as a deeply personal form of emotional expression.

He earned a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Project Management at the University of Manchester. During his study, he was active in the UK gospel scene as a member of Voices Beyond.

In 2016, he appeared on the BBC programme Songs of Praise, where his solo performance was described as “absolutely phenomenal” by judge Cary Grant. He later returned to Nigeria, performing alongside artists such as Johnny Drille and Bez Idakula, and was a semi-finalist on The Voice Nigeria.

Blending soul at his core with elements of pop, jazz, indie, gospel, and country, Remii creates emotionally resonant music centred on faith, love, inspiration, and social awareness.

YARWOOD

Overview

Yarwood is a Ghanaian multi-instrumentalist whose primary instruments are bass guitar and vocals, working within an introspective soul and alternative R&B space shaped by emotional honesty, musicianship, and a strong connection to his roots.

His catalogue, including Me, Myself & I and singles such as Dear God, Hold On Girl, and Yenko, reflects consistent artistic development and clear musical intent. What makes the work compelling at this stage is the presence of a sincere and evolving artistic centre.

This evaluation primarily focuses on these releases, with references to live material for additional context and developmental insight.

Musicality & Artistic Identity

Yarwood’s work is strongest where musicianship, emotional intention, and live instrumentation meet.

Across Me, Myself & I, The Sound of a Journey, and singles such as Dear God and Yenko, the clearest through-line is not a fully fixed genre identity, but a consistent search for feeling, grounding, and self-definition.

His artistic identity appears closely tied to bass, voice, faith, roots, and reflective storytelling. As a result, the work carries a clear emotional centre rather than feeling directionless or performative.

However, the sonic identity is still developing. The material moves across soul, alternative R&B, Afro-rooted influences, and introspective songwriting without yet settling into a signature sound that feels immediately recognisable as his own.

At present, the emotional grounding and musicality of the work feel more cohesive than the lyrical identity itself.

Strategic Intelligence

Yarwood shows clear artistic discipline and progression.

He is not simply releasing isolated singles; he has developed project-based work while also building live-format material. That suggests an artist thinking beyond short-term output.

The strongest strategic signals at this stage are consistency, musicianship, and clear artistic commitment.

The developing area is positioning. The public-facing identity still needs sharper definition: what world is Yarwood building, who is it for, and what makes this artistic lane distinctly his?

Scalability & Longevity

Yarwood’s potential sits at the intersection of musicianship, emotional honesty, and cultural rootedness.

That foundation is valuable, particularly within an industry where many artists prioritise surface polish before developing substance.

However, scalability will depend on distinction. The work needs a clearer sonic fingerprint; one that makes the bass, vocal delivery, lyrical voice and production texture feel unmistakably connected to Yarwood himself.

The foundation for longevity is present because the work is rooted in sincerity, musicianship, and emotional intention.

Development Insight

The main opportunity is not expansion. It is definition.

Yarwood could refine the relationship between:

* bass as identity

* voice as emotional centre

* roots as cultural grounding

* lyrics as personal language

* live performance as proof of musicianship

Mulbridge Music Classification

High Potential

Yarwood demonstrates sincere musicianship, consistency, and clear artistic intent.

The next phase of his trajectory will depend on refining those foundations into a more recognisable sonic, lyrical, and visual identity.
